Recommendations for a modern hut experience
Modern mountain restaurants and ski huts
These Vorarlberg mountain restaurants and ski huts prove how well appropriate contemporary building can be combined with hut and mountain gastronomy concepts. The creative sophistication brings out the best in details and sets accents in the mountain world far away from alpine clichés. Good food in a contemporary ambience is the motto. We recommend the following mountain restaurants and ski huts for those who want to take a break.

03 Schneggarei, Lech am Arlberg
The Schneggarei in Lech at the end of the Schlegelkopf piste is rustic and yet timelessly modern. The Schneider siblings, together with architect Philip Lutz, built an après-ski hut in the early 2000s that combines honest craftsmanship and alpine strength with a modern attitude to life. Construction and materials – raw wood for the façade, solid natural furniture, the continuous concrete tower with fireplace – create the special atmosphere of the pub. The Schneggarei is a restaurant, pizzeria and cosy bar.
