Forest is good for you, because where the air is clear and the ground springs softly under your feet, there is a source of silence that influences your physical well-being. Interested people can make this experience in the Biosphärenpark Grosses Walsertal during the alpine forest bathing.
A stay in the wood helps you unwind, recharge empty batteries and find mindfulness. What is more, inhaling forest air has a wholesome effect. For those who want to give it a try, a 3–4-hour forest bathing experience is organised in Damüls on Tuesdays (14 June to 27 September 2022).
Together with the herbal philosopher Elisabeth Breidenbrücker-Graf, the Biohotel Schwanen in Bizau/Bregenzerwald offers “forest bathing” every Friday. The Rotenberg forest trail in Lingenau in the Bregenzerwald offers visitors an insight and an overview of the importance of forests while highlighting the tree species that grow in the Bregenzerwald region. The trail from Lingenau or Hittisau leads through a particularly species-rich mixed forest with silver firs, which are common in the Bregenzerwald, as well as beech, spruce, ash, maple, elm and linden trees. Learn interesting facts about the forest at twenty stations along the way, including a forest room, an upland moor and a natural arena made of Nagelfluh rock.
