01 Lechuferweg riverside trail
This walk along the headwaters of the Lech river is ideal for families with small children. Best of all, the path is pram appropriate. In addition, there are numerous places to build “cairns” or to simply dip your toes in the water.

02 Litzbach adventure trail, Montafon
In the Silbertal valley, getting out into nature as opposed to sitting at the computer is what it’s all about. The 4.5-km Litzbach adventure trail, which is suitable for prams, runs along the Litzbach river, where children and families can encounter nature in a fun, playful way at eleven interactive stations.

03 Search for sticks and build stone cairns on the Breitach stream
No matter the weather, this hike along the Breitach stream near the Breitachklamm gorge is always a solid option. Just don’t expect bathtub temperatures! Fortunately, the stream is mostly shallow in high summer and the current is not very strong. All this means that there are numerous easily accessible spots for splashing around in the water on warm days!
But of course all those who pass by should definitely build a cairn! This is a must-do activity for hikers along the Breitach stream.

05 Wasserwanderweg water hiking trail, Hittisau
This refreshing hike leads through the forest and the Engeschlucht gorge. It also crosses over a suspension bridge and the oldest covered wooden bridge in Vorarlberg. The trail is more or less flat along the Bolgenach river. On the way, you can read interesting facts about water at 22 special signboards.

06 The Körbersee lake in the Bregenzerwald
In 2017, television viewers voted the Körbersee lake the most beautiful place in all of Austria. This picturesque lake is accessible from Schröcken or from the Hochtannberg pass. This leisurely hike extends along good-quality trails and is suitable for prams. Row boats are another great option for exploring the lake. The clear water offers the possibility to observe trout. In addition, the Körbersee lake is also accessible from Lech.
