Varied circuit through the peaceful mountain pasture and alp area.
The low mountain ranges on the Egg side of Suberach are ancient alp areas. It was only in 1959 that the Schetteregg valley was developed for winter sports, after a permanent access road had been constructed and the first chairlift was built. But even as more lifts were added with time, the area did not turn into a hustling and bustling winter sports centre, but continues to work its charms on laid-back skiers and winter hikers who prefer things on a smaller, less mainstream scale. Our circuit will take you to this winter idyll, a haven of peace and tranquility, which is conveniently accessible on compacted snow trails.

Directions
Start out at the main waysign at the car park from the hamlet of Amagmach and take a couple of minutes to cross the forest of the Koppach gorge. As soon as you leave the forest, you will see the alpine pasture Vorsäss Eggatsberg ahead of you. The route now turns off to the right on an uphill hiking trail on which, after some bends, you reach the Ochsenhof alps. The higher you mount, the further the views into the Vorderwald. Soon, you will be able to gaze at the mountain panorama stretching from Feuerstätterkopf in the east to the Nagefluh range in the Allgäu and the Sulzberg and Pfänder ridges to Brüggelekopf in the west. Having mounted for approx. 90min, you reach the highest point of the tour. Turn off to the high-lying valley of the Falzalpen, and take in the views of the Winterstaude, Hoher Kirche and Bullscherkopf rock massifs.
The compacted trail runs along the foot of the mountain, passing Obere Falzalpe. A hospitable place for a rest and a snack in summer, it is snowed in and closed for the winter. The same is true for Untere Falzalpe, which you will pass shortly. On the last leg, the winter hiking trail runs gently up and down across the Vorsäss alps of Hammeratsberg and Eggatsberg. At Koppachgraben you reach the starting point of the circuit.Start Schetteregg ski lift
