The world’s most important Schubert festival will once again take place in Hohenems and Schwarzenberg in Bregenzerwald. The symbiosis of nature and culture here is remarkable.

Current information on the Corona situation: According to the new measures of the Federal Government of April 6, all events must be cancelled by the end of June. Therefore, the first two concert series in Schwarzenberg and Hohenems could unfortunately not take place. The concerts starting in summer can be held as scheduled. The Angelika-Kauffmann Hall, which features fantastic views of the meadows and mountains of the Bregenzerwald from its window, plays host to outstanding artists and ensembles i.g.: Till Fellner, Christoph Prégardien, Anja Harteros, Baiba Skride, Sol Gabetta, Sir András Schiff, Paul Lewis, Ian Bostridge, Belcea Quartett, Emerson String Quartett and many more. Master classes round off the proceedings in Schwarzenberg.

On certain evenings in spring and autumn, the concert programme features world famous interpretations at the festival’s original location in Hohenems. The venue is the restored Markus-Sittikus Hall located right on the Schlossplatz square.
Tip: The music museums in Hohenems are open during the festival. Using documents, pictures, listening samples, and videos, the Franz Schubert Museum, the Elisabeth Schwarzkopf Museum, the “Dreimäderl-Haus,” the Markus-Sittikus House and the Walter Legge Music and Record Museum provide insight into the lives of significant musical figures.
