    A panoramic and intensive round around the most striking Lech summit, the mighty Omeshorn. The tour runs in large parts along the second stage of the Green Ring.

    The Omeshorn is probably one of the most famous photo motifs in Lech, as it rises above the village to protect it. And in the Lecher mountain summer a hike or a run in this area belongs to the fixed program of many guests. Of course, it is also possible to circumnavigate the Omeshorn.

    10 minutes rest at the Zürsersee should be used in any case, the view is simply fantastic!

  • Directions

    From Lech we take the hiking trail in the direction of Zürs. The beginning is quite flat and pleasant to warm up properly. Shortly after crossing the Straé near the cogeneration plant, the path becomes narrower and steeper. Finally, one branches off to the right in the direction of Madlochalpe and Lake Zurich. From here the path becomes a path and in steep serpentines the path rises quickly to the top. After the Madlochalpe it goes to the Zürser See, here you have a fantastic view to Lech and to the beautiful mountains around Zürs. From here, one follows the signs of the Green Ring in the direction of Madlochjoch and Omeshon. At the Madlochoch most of the climbs have been completed. Now it goes past the bivouac and the Gstüatalpe again down to Lech, where one can regain one’s strength in one of the numerous restaurants.

  • Public transportation:

    By train to Langen am Arlberg station or St. Anton am Arlberg. From there, buses (No. 91 +92) run regularly to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

    Approach:

    From Germany: Take the A96 motorway to Bregenz from there on the A14 motorway to Bludenz, continue on the S16 to the Lech Zürs am Arlberg exit. Follow the B197 up to Alpe Rauz, turn left here onto the B198 through Flexengalerie and over the Flexenpass to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

     

    From Switzerland: Via the A13 motorway and the Feldkirch, Hohenems or Lustenau border crossing on the A14 motorway to Bludenz. Continue on the S16 until exit Lech Zürs am Arlberg. Follow the B197 up to Alpe Rauz, turn left here onto the B198 through Flexengalerie and over the Flexenpass to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.

     

    From Austria: Via the Inntalautobahn A12 and then via the S16 to the exit St. Anton am Arlberg (Arlberg Pass). Follow the B197 first through St. Anton, then through St. Christoph and over the Arlbergpass to Alpe Rauz. Turn right here onto the B198, drive through Flexengalerie and over the Flexenpass to Lech Zürs am Arlberg.
