Climbing Offers
Sport climbing from A-Z: Children's climbing courses, beginner’s climbing courses on the rocks or in the hall, climbing technique training.
In the Brandnertal Climbing Park you can complete a “Climbing for beginners” day course. Participants practice the correct climbing and gripping technique during easy horizontal manoeuvres. Participants also gain insight into the use of safety equipment, learn the most important knots, and master techniques for correct belaying and abseiling. At the end of the day, the group climbs the first routes on vertical rock. The programme takes place every Wednesday and costs 20 euros for guests from partner companies.

In the Grosses Walsertal Biosphere Park, mountain guide Thomas Schäfer is happy to accompany novice climbers on their first attempts in the climbing park at Wandfluh mountain, or help advanced climbers hone their technique.

In Lech am Arlberg, there are climbing courses at the Spullerplatten wall at the Spullersee lake, at Lechleiten, or at the easily accessible climbing park at the Rüfikopf mountain. Participants learn how to climb safely, belay and make a belay point, abseiling and rescue techniques. Individual wishes can also be catered for.
For families there is a special family climbing programme, where climbing, belaying and abseiling are learned in a playful way. 4m long slacklines for balancing and a 50m long rope slide are available on request.
Arlberg Alpin
In the Kleinwalsertal, the professionals of the Kleinwalsertal mountaineering school offer beginners’ courses and children’s climbing courses. In the climbing park, they give tips on rock climbing. Beginners learn step-by-step climbing and belaying techniques as well as independent abseiling during a day climbing course on the rock.

In Montafon, Montafon mountain guides provide initial insight into the fascinating sport of climbing in a taster course. Depending on the weather, the course takes place in a climbing park or a climbing hall. Climbing equipment can be rented.

The various climbing and bouldering halls in Vorarlberg offer introductory and basic climbing courses, designed to teach safety and basic climbing techniques necessary for independent climbing both in the climbing hall and outdoors. But that’s not all, officially authorised climbing instructors or mountain guides also impart necessary basic knowledge about safety and equipment for sport climbing.
