In the medieval Old Town, one of the most beautiful in the wider region, you can marvel at storied old buildings, charming fountains and historic Schattenburg castle. Further attractions include a wide range of shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars, plus a variety of walks leading to Feldkirch’s gloriously green surroundings, the Reichenfeld Quarter and the wildlife park.
As the city’s cultural quarter, Reichenfeld boasts a unique atmosphere and a whole host of eye-catching sights. Its park features a building complex comprising four structures: the Pförtnerhaus event centre, the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium academy where many artists have cut their teeth, Feldkirch Music School and the Altes Hallenbad cultural centre – which is also the site of the celebrated annual poolbar festival.

Did you know?
The circular 8-storey Katzenturm was built between 1491 and 1507 as part of the city fortifications under Emperor Maximilian I. The origin of this unusual name, literally “cat tower”, has never been fully explained. One theory states that the cannons at this former defence tower were fitted with cats’ heads to assist with aiming.
