Mountain Experience Vorarlberg: The region between Lake Constance and the mountains up to 3,000 metres high is richly blessed with natural beauty. The landscapes can be explored by hiking or cycling, on boat trips on Lake Constance, on outdoor adventures. Or simply by looking. There are a large number of viewing points, some of which can be reached comfortably with mountain railways.
Meadows and forests, plains and high mountains: Vorarlberg’s multi-faceted landscapes inspire exploration. In order to preserve this precious natural treasure, landscape protection is a high priority. The initiative “Naturvielfalt Vorarlberg” (Vorarlberg Nature Diversity), which focuses primarily on the 40 Natura 2000 areas in the state, raises awareness of the need to treat nature with care.

On the way to sunrise or sunset: Early in the morning you start with headlamps towards the summit. From step to step the day gets brighter – at the top the sun shows itself in its full glory. Breathtaking views over the mountain peaks to Lake Constance included.

04 Skyspace Lech: Close to the sky
The world-famous American artist James Turrell has designed a light space for Lech am Arlberg in which the meeting of heaven and earth in the high alpine landscape can be experienced with a new perspective. In dry weather, the dome even stays open during the day. This does not mean artificial light, but observation of the section of sky in conjunction with the cone of sunlight. Opening hours in summer: The Skyspace Lech is open from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset. There are public & private guided tours.

05 Enjoying the mountains with the e-bike
