Linda has been a passionate ice cream maker for 6 years. In 2018 she set up her own business with the mission of bringing a smile to her customers’ faces and reviving childhood memories. For this Linda handcrafts a wide variety of soft ice cream creations using only natural raw materials and fresh milk. Only carefully selected fruits and the best treats are used for the toppings. Her trademark is the black cone. In 2020, Linda was even voted ice cream dealer of the year by falstaff.
You can enjoy the fine creations at Linda’s colourful soft ice cream truck, which is on the road throughout Vorarlberg. You can track her location via Instagram or Facebook. In addition, five Lindomats offer ice cream enjoyment around the clock, seven days a week.
In Bregenz, Feldkirch, Wolfurt, Röthis, Nofels and Frastanz, Eismanufaktur Kolibri treats its customers to delicious ice cream made traditionally by hand. They pay particular attention to using local raw ingredients. There is a different special each week, usually something highly unique. Customer suggestions are often transformed into new varieties. The handmade giant cones are especially popular.
In addition, the Soulcream is available in two different sizes in over 70 Ländle-SPAR stores.
In addition to ice cream classics, Franz Bereuter creates special or new ice cream varieties at Café am See, such as Alpine Caramel, Vorarlberg Riebel ice cream or lime ice cream with aloe vera from Polder’s garden in Hard. The organic milk and organic natural yogurt come from the cows of Lässers Schlösslehof in Hard. Whenever possible, fresh fruit from the region is used – plums from Michelehof, apples from their own garden or Lake Constance strawberries. For the lemon and lime ice cream, the fruits are pressed by hand. Mangos are purchased from the Hard world store.
Just stroll along the harbor with ice cream in hand or take the kids to the playground next door afterwards. The Café am See is also a great place for a sundowner.

The ice cream of d’Eisprinza z’Bludaz ice cream parlour in Bludenz old town is made to the original Italian recipes of Eismanufaktur Gentile in Markdorf, Germany. They make their own sauces for their ice cream sundaes. Great attention is paid to the use of regional raw materials and environmental friendliness. Many vegan varieties are also on the menu. The best place to enjoy the ice cream sundaes, homemade cocktails, sodas, coffee and cake is in the cozy garden with a view of the hustle and bustle of the old town of Bludenz.
Zita Gelato, in its ideal location on the Kaiserstrand beach on Lake Constance, makes dairy and fruit ice creams from the seasonal fruit available in Lake Constance and from fine distillates. The results are some very distinctive flavours.
Editor’s favorite: apple sorbet and organic hazelnut ice
Bruno Metzler started producing farmhouse ice cream in 2002. He now has six organic varieties made from farm’s cows’ milk. The ice cream comes in 100ml containers. As the farm is some way outside of the centre of Alberschwende, we recommend combining your ice cream treat with a hike. Bruno’s organic ice cream is best enjoyed on one of the many benches with a view.
Vittorio Andrich brings a piece of Veneto to Lustenau with the Eiscafé Dolomit. Every day, the Italian makes 25 flavours of ice cream from regional ingredients. Vorarlberg milk and a lot of love go into creating this creamy ice cream. Ice cream sundaes and milkshakes can be enjoyed on the sun terrace with colorful parasols and chairs in the center of Lustenau.
Roman Feuerstein is a passionate farmer in Kleinwalsertal. Since 2018, he has been producing seasonally changing ice cream varieties from milk from his own farm and organic quality ingredients – without colourings, flavourings, egg or artificial binders. You can enjoy the creations in Roman’s Lädele or at his Eiswägele at the weekly market in Riezlern. For ice cream enjoyment at home, the organic ice cream is also available in 480 ml cups.
The traditional Il Gelato ice cream parlour in Bludenz has been established for 20 years in the railway station area. They make 30 original Italian ice cream flavours fresh every day. Unusual creations such as Whisky Cream, Salted Caramel and After Eight are also available.
In 1959, the garden ice cream parlor Silvretta opened as the first ice cream parlor in Dornbirn and the third ice cream parlor in all of Vorarlberg. Today, the company is still in family hands and can draw on the knowledge and recipes of three generations. In the beginning, only soft ice cream was sold in the Silvretta ice cream parlor, which still enjoys great popularity today. In addition to this classic, 18 flavours of ice cream are now produced daily from high-quality ingredients. You can also treat yourself and add hot chocolate sauce to your favourite flavour, or have one of the daily flavours made into a creamy milkshake.
Original Italian ice cream, homemade by the master pastry chef, can be enjoyed by all those with a sweet tooth at Eiscafé Pinocchio in the middle of Bregenz’s pedestrian zone. New creations are made fresh every day. Relax and people-watch over an Italian coffee and ice cream in the cozy outdoor area.

More than 40 years ago, Andrew Nussbaumer founded Eismanufaktur Dolce Vita, a soft serve ice cream parlour, in Hohenems. Since the beginning, the ice cream production has been based on the use of local, fresh and untreated products. The range also includes numerous gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan ice cream varieties. The changing ice cream creations taste especially good in the homemade crispy cones.
Just two minutes’ walk from the shores of Lake Constance at Hard is Eiszeit. Classic flavours like vanilla, strawberry and chocolate are ranked alongside Rudi the owner’s own creations, such as chilli-chocolate or the very refreshing lime ice cream. Eiszeit also offers ice cream with no added sugar, like the creamy peach ice cream.
In the centre of Schruns, you will find the small but exquisite Eisplatzl ice cream parlour where you can and should try the homemade cones and the ice cream by Eismanufaktur Kolibri, known all over Vorarlberg. Experience new flavours with both traditional and unusual creations, like poppy seed ice cream. The are all made with the highest quality local produce.
