04 Water games: The “Burmiwasser” trail and Wild Water Tour in the Kleinwalsertal valley
Along the trail from the Kanzelwand mountain station to Lake Riezler Alpsee, various pools, water wheels and sluices invite you to enjoy the wonder of water to your heart’s content. On a hot summer day, there’s nothing better for parents and kids in need of a good cool down .

05 Wild & untamed: Gorges and ravines
The Breitachklamm gorge’s nearly 100-m rock walls on Kleinwalsertal’s border to Germany are seriously impressive. This circular hike on well-maintained trails takes about 1.5 hours. The Rappenlochschlucht gorge near Dornbirn is one of the most impressive gorges far and wide. Hikers can reach the highest point via boardwalks and bridges in just under an hour. The Bürser Schlucht gorge in the Brandnertal valley is also quite impressive. The large boulders at the stream, which runs through the primeval-looking forest landscape , are fun to climb.

07 SUP at Lake Constance and in the high mountains
In Vorarlberg, there are several places to enjoy standup paddleboarding (SUP). There’s even a school and rental station at the Kaiserstrand beach in Lochau on Lake Constance, which offers both courses and tours. There are also sunset and Rhine river delta tours, as well as tours on the Bregenzerache river for the advanced. SUP, windsurfing, and SUP yoga are possible at Surfmax in the Binnenbecken area of Hard. At the Kälbersee lake near the Seetalhüsli hut in Silvretta Montafon, it’s even possible to go Standup paddleboarding at 2,000 m above sea level!
