Experience the area’s pristine nature from new perspectives while hiking thanks to various entertaining hiking trails.
Take off your shoes and stroll in the forest, across meadows and through the mountain stream in the Brandnertal valley. As you move, notice how the ground changes beneath your feet. The Parpfienz-Alpe refreshment stop is located directly along the barefoot hiking trail and is a good place to stop for a bite to eat. In Bizau in the Bregenzerwald, a flat, varied trail leads through the Moos wetland and along the Ulvenbach stream. Here, benches invite you to rest on the peninsulas of the meandering stream.
Tones, noises, and echoes – sounds of all stripes accompany hikers on the Klangraum.Stein trail in the Grosses Walsertal Biosphere Park. Visit special Klangmöbel sound furniture and the acoustic pavilion on the trail to the ‘Echo Wall.’
Learn moreSix stations along the 1-km trail in Bürs recount fairy tales and fables from the region. Along the way, funny wooden figures act as trail signposts.
Learn more“Ask questions!” is the trail motto on the way from Lech to the Rud-Alpe. There are tricky puzzles to solve at various whimsical stations: e.g., at the climbing tree full of mysteries, at the jetty with a fishing rod in the middle of the landscape, at the sundial, and at the entrance to the underworld, etc.
We absolutely recommend getting the workbook from the Lech-Zürs Tourismus office! Without a workbook, the secrets of the puzzle ring shall remain locked!
Learn moreYour children have certainly never experienced a playground like this before: The Burmiweg trail runs between Riezlern and Hirschegg along the Breitach stream and offers almost endless play and climbing opportunities at nine stations. And when those tired legs can’t take it any more because of all the playing, climbing and romping, the barbecue at the Schwefelquelle area is ready for grilling! Alternatively, you can just come back the next day!
Learn moreThis is an exciting adventure in search of the Haspelwaldmändle, a creature who lives in the forest of the same name below the Waldmendingerhorn mountain. Along the way, you’ll pass six signposted stations. If you read the signs carefully, you should be able to easily answer the quiz at the end of the trail. The quiz and a surprise for intrepid hikers await at the Bühlalpe mountain hut.
Learn moreFrom the Libellensee lake to the “Schneegestöber” station, hikers of all ages can explore the leisurely Arlbenzauberweg trail in Lech. In a playful way, more than twenty stations explain interesting facts about the special characteristics of animals and plants.
Learn moreHikers get to know the “World of Wild Alpine Flowers” on the approximately five-hour trail from the Kanzelwandbahn cable car mountain station to the Kuhgehrenspitze area. Along the way, they’ll be inspired by the biodiversity and colorfulness of the world of Alpine flowers. The trail leads from the high-Alpine terrain downhill to the region of Alpine pastures and further through the mountain forest and across bedding meadows to the Wildental valley.
