BUS:STOP Krumbach – Unterkrumbach Süd bus stop
-
Jan De Vylder, Inge Vinck and Jo Taillieu, known collectively as dvvt, are among the key protagonists of the Flemish architecture scene. dvvt checked out the site in Krumbach on their way back to Belgium from the Milan Furniture Fair. This car journey along the Alpine passes left a big impression on the group, as did a chance encounter with a wall painting somewhere in Ghent. A geometrical abstraction of a triangular form, it might have been the work of Sol Lewitt, but somehow a thoughtless builder had seen fit to install a doorbell in the heart of the image. The location of this BUS:STOP is in fact an acute triangle where three distinct paths converge: perfect for dvvt to discuss their experiences and influences. Entitled “April”, the structure addresses a trio of topics – the place itself, Sol Lewitt and the Alps.
