EGG Museum
-
The Museum of Egg Village was founded as a local heritage museum in 1904. It is the oldest museum in this region of the State of Vorarlberg. In 1988 it was reopened, after its collections had been stored unseen in the old primary school for several years. These collections focus primarily on the cultural heritage of the entire Bregenz Forest region.
In recent years the Egg Village Museum has begun to place more emphasis on special exhibition activities, offering insights into various topics from the Bregenz Forest region and profiting from a close cooperation with the State of Vorarlberg and with different institutions and organizations of the region. Each of the special exhibitions is accompanied by a comprehensive supporting program. Information about current exhibition activities can be obtained on the museum website www.eggmuseum.at.
