Montforthaus Feldkirch
-
This new conference and event centre takes the place of the old, outdated 1970s concert hall on the periphery of Feldkirch’s Old Town. Its curved form helps it fit in with the various designs of the surrounding buildings, preventing the huge modern structure from looking out of place in this centuries-old city. The multifunctional facility comprises a great hall accommodating up to 1,150 guests, an Old Town foyer, a small hall and a number of seminar rooms. Not only do the balustrades on the staircase feature an elegant fine lime plaster finish, the large foyer is bathed in natural light and also houses the information point of Feldkirch tourist association.
The Montforthaus was honoured with the Austrian State Prize for Architecture and Sustainability in 2016.
