Vorarlberger Landestheater, Bregenz

The Vorarlberger Landestheater is based in Bregenz and has a permanent acting ensemble. From September to June it offers a fixed programme for the city of Bregenz and the province of Vorarlberg. In addition to the main theatre at Kornmarkt, the theatre plays in various locations in Vorarlberg, and open-air performances also take place. The repertoire includes both contemporary and classical plays and is supplemented by productions for children and young people. Musical theatre is also performed once a season. In 1995, the “Theater auf der Probebühne” was established as a second venue. In the summer, the Theater am Kornmarkt also repeatedly offers space for theatre, opera and operetta performances of the Bregenz Festival.

The productions and theatre educational offers as well as the youth clubs, the voyeurs and the citizens’ choir enable children and young people – but also adults – to actively encounter the diversity of the theatre. Stephanie Gräve is the current artistic director of the Vorarlberger Landestheater.
