    A wonderful sunrise and sunset peak with a view of Lake Constance is the Winterstaude (1,877 m). The path leads over an alpine path.

    The tour starts in Schetteregg, from there you hike towards Alpe Brongen, keep left at the turnoff to Alpe Brongen and continue towards Winterstaude. The path turns into an alpine path (sure-footedness required) and then leads over the “Hasenstrick” to the summit of the Winterstaude. When you arrive at the summit, you not only have the pleasure of enjoying the sunrise or sunset, but you are also rewarded with a fantastic panorama all the way to Lake Constance. The view is phenomenal in all directions. In the north the Nagelfluh chain with the Hochgrat, in the west the Säntis, in the south the Braunarlspitze and in the east the Hochvogel. There are various options for the descent (via Bühlenalpe, to Bezau or back the same way).

    The crowning glory of a beautiful sunrise or sunset is the opportunity to stop off at the Panorama Restaurant Baumgarten or in the Alpe Wildmoos.

    Choosing the exact time: So that you don’t arrive too late at the summit, you should choose the exact time of sunrise or sunset.

    Observe the weather: Of course, the weather should be very nice and stable at sunrise or sunset. Safety first!
