Hittisau | From Hittisau to Balderschwang

A beautiful, cross-border trip from Hittisau to Balderschwang.

The route from Hittisau leads through the Reute lot to the beautiful Lecknertal valley. After the idyllic Lecknersee lake, it crosses the border at the Neuschwandalpe and continues in Germany to the Scheidwangalpe. The path then runs towards the valley exit to the turn-off towards the Höllritzeralpe shortly before Gunzesried-Säge.The route through Stubenbach- and the Wilhelminenalpe ascends to the highest point at the Höllritzeralpe (1,495 m) and then descends on a freight trail to Balderschwang. It then continues on the opposite side of the valley past the Lappach and Bibersteinalpe to Gerisgschwend. It then follows the main road through Sippersegg back to the centre of Hittisau.
