  • Directions

This loop is characterized in particular by the leisurely ascent and ease of walking. The loop starts at the village square in Warth and continues under the Warther Hof farm along the “Lechweg” hiking trail. The trail crosses the Krumbach and continues left along the Rauhgehrenweg. Continue along the main road to the Hotel Jägeralpe, past it on the “Alte Salzstraße” hiking trail to the Hotel Adler. From there, a hiking trail leads to the Simmel – our peace cross. From the Simmel chapel, a path leads down to the Salober parking lot, where it then briefly follows the main road to the Kalbelesee lake, from where the hiking trail leads you to the Körbersee lake. Behind the Körbersee lake, the hiking trail leads onto a wider goods road, which you follow to the left into the Auenfeld. Pass the Sonnenjet valley station and continue to the Untere Auenfeldalpe, then straight on to the Auenfeldsattel, where you turn left uphill on a path (keep to the top, do not descend to Bürstegg!). Here it gets a little steeper up to below the Karhorn. Watch out for the summit: with just a short ascent (an additional 60 m), you can reach the summit of the Wartherhorn, which rewards you with an incredible panoramic view of Warth!
